Growing a baby inside your body.
What an amazing yet hard to grasp reality.
It really is an amazing thing.
Words cannot describe. I've never been one that's been great with words anyway.
It's been such a powerful, emotional journey.
Here is my progress ending at 38 1/2 weeks.
I started shooting at about 5 weeks.
I can't wait to hold the little boy in my arms...
and get my body back to the 5 week look.

So as some of you may or may not know... we're having a baby!!! I had a couple lovely offers from photographer friends to shoot my maternity photos since my shooting partner and friend Mandy is out of the country. It's nice to have photographer friends!

A wonderful photographer Alicia Brown- Simple Pictures filled in for Mandy taking me out of my comfort zone from behind the lens to in front with my husband Keith. She did an amazing job and I wanted to share some of the photos. She shot us when I was 33 weeks... I am currently 35 1/2 and look about the same, maybe bigger. Yes, bigger, much bigger and ready to give birth to our baby boy.

Thanks so much Alicia! Can't wait to return the favor. We will cherish these photos for our lifetime.

And of course with Keith's passion for music and being a DJ and all, we had to do some with headphones! :)

Yesterday I got to shoot our great friends Dawn and Conrad. It's such a blessing to have such strong first time families going through the same thing.

I love you guys and know the little boy or girl in belly is going to be one lucky kiddo! With two teachers in the family this kid is going to be a wise one. We can't wait to meet little Rauscher!

Lynn-Wood has been one of my longest friends in Whitefish. She is the most vivacious, fun loving, and caring friend. She is due in March, along with me. I can't wait to raise our baby boys together.

Her and Jason just got engaged as well and I couldn't be happier for the two. They fit together so well, are so in love, and will be amazing parents. Aren't they both just glowing?! Thanks so much you two! It was such a fun shoot.

Today I got to shoot the lovely Shannon and her husband Chris. The couple are expecting twin girls in February. These little ladies will be loved with heaps of laughter... thanks you guys! It was a lot of fun and what a blessing for the both of you!

This afternoon I got to shoot the lovely mama-to-be Laurel. She brought along a good friend for moral support because her husband was not so into getting his photos taken. We had a lot of fun and I am super excited for this "miracle" baby to be born.

This evening was a first. I got to shoot the beautiful Jamie and her son Rye... and maybe a new baby on the way tonight! Jamie was having contractions and really felt like tonight was the night. So exciting!
Thanks Jamie, Charlie and Rye for being such great subjects. I'm excited for the addition to your wonderful little family.

 

 

Awe what a beauty! Sophia is going to be one lucky girl to have a mama like you Melanie! You and Amir are going to be amazing parents, I'm so excited for you two to welcome her into this world!

Today I had a maternity shoot with my friend Mary. She was stunning. Not only does she have the most gorgeous blue eyes, but her smile blew me away. What a beauty. Thanks Mary. I'm so excited for you and Paul to be parents. You will be amazing, loving and fun parents to your new little girl. What a lucky gal! :)
